"This trio has through the twelve years of their existence, developed a sound based on hard work, as well as deep studies of
the possibilities of the acoustic piano in trio format. After having released the recordings "Inventio" , "Live in Cape Town" and "The ballad book" , they have performed several tours worldwide.
SOHT plays acoustic, high energy jazz and they are especially known for their big spectre of dynamics and communication.
However, minimalistic expression may also be treated with intensity.

Most of the material is composed by Herstad and Thormodsæter. But the most important contributions to the music, is the
trio's creative process of arranging and evolvement during rehearsals and concerts. SOHT is an ensemble where all the
members contribute with their sense of time, sound, aestetics and experience.

THE BALLAD BOOK IS THE 3RD RELEASE BY SOHT.
RECORDED AT BALLASTKAIEN 11 - 12 NOV 2016 BY BAKERISLAND STUDIOS. MIXED BY SOHT.
