Album
Album 2005 16 Songs. La Belle de Cadix. For most listeners outside of France, Mariano will be little more than a name, but the songs for which he was famous work well in drawing out Alagna's playful personality and in exploiting his ability to shift vocal personalities in pop material. The album also stumbles with the inclusion of several duets with vocally undistinguished French pop stars and even rugged movie star Jean Reno these break up the momentum Alagna generates. 2009 Paris, 1960. He was born in Clichy-sous-Bois, Seine-Saint-Denis, France. Alagna was born outside of the city of Paris in 1963 to a family of Sicilian Italian immigrants. As a teenager, the young Alagna began busking and singing pop in Parisian cabarets for tips. This album is a compilation of memorable performances, which represent some of Roberto's finest singing from 1996-2003. It is a tribute to a tenor with a rich lyrical voice and an innate musicality, who projects his whole self into his characters and his music. For instance, at the close, his voice does not soar above chorus and orchestra as Tucker and Corelli did on the other hand, there aren't too many with voices like that. He hits the high notes nicely and handles the demands of this work pretty well. 0 out of 5 stars ROBERTO ALAGNA CHANTE LUIS MARIANO. Reviewed in Italy on February 17, 2020. Verified Purchase. As a teenager, the young Alagna began busking and singing pop in Parisian cabarets, mostly for tips. Influenced primarily by the films of Mario Lanza and learning from recordings of many historic tenors, he then switched to opera, but remained largely self-taught. He was discovered by Gabriel Dussurget, the co-founder of the Aix-en-Provence. He has also recorded light music with an homage album to Luis Mariano, Sicilien, and Pasión. Personal life.
