"The idea behind The Slippery Hand EP was to put a microphone to the process of making music with Hello Ocho. So instead of recording the end result of a tune well-crafted, we thought it could be fun and challenging to capture the initial heat-of-the-moment ideas as they flow from our brains and limbs. With the help of our friend, Ben Price at Studilaroche, we were able to set up various stations of instruments (with mics rolling at all times) allowing us to move around freely as inspiration struck during our group improvisations. The nature of this process did not leave us with much room for scrutiny and over analyzation, which in turn leaves the listener with a very honest and unique Hello Ocho experience."
