Album
Exai is the eleventh album by electronic music duo Autechre, released on Warp Records. The double album was released in digital form on 7 February 2013, with double CD and quadruple vinyl versions released on 5 March 2013. At the time of its release, Exai was Autechre's longest album to date. Like other Autechre albums, Exai was followed a few months later by a companion EP entitled L-event. The tracks, all from the same sessions, were conceived of as a series of 12 vinyl records. Autechre may be coming from the same cold, analytical place they usually do, but Exai shows that their skills for crafting sound are stronger than ever. What did you think of this album Love it Hate it. Покупайте и продавайте винил и компакт-диски, формируйте. Genre: Electronic. Autechre have always been at the forefront of electronic music and Exai reinforces this, offering an invigorating, thrillingly cerebral ride in album. Just better. Chris Power of BBC Music was more enthusiastic, calling the album Autechre's best in. Titled Exai, the new Autechre album is Rob Brown and Sean Booth's eleventh full length album, and follows 2010's Oversteps and 2011's 47-track collection EPs 1991 - 2002. With a running time of 2 hours and 32 seconds, Exai is available on 2 CDs, 4 pieces of vinyl, and digitally. Artist Site Released: March 5, 2013 ON Warp. Track listing. Disc one: 1. irlite get 0. Top 10 Autechre Albums . What order would you place the albums in from least favorite to best album and why, if you like. There are only 10 spots and 11 albums, so what album doesn't make the cut for you For now, let's just stick to original releases, excluding bonus disks and bonus tracks. In stark contrast to Quaristice, Exai has no problem taking it time to get where it's going. At times it even seems to meander which is the main thing that places it at number 6. Exai is a wonderful trip down memory lane as the album seems to invoke the entire back catalogue of Autechre. 5 Incunabula. Following this modus operandi, Autechre, perhaps more than any of their musical brethren, successfully tread the middle ground between ancient and modern, analogue and digital, composition and improvisation. Over the course of a generation theyve explored each of these fecund landscapes to the horizon and beyond, all the while manipulating music into contractions that, whilst quite amazingly uncomfortable, never cease to amaze with their richness and variety. Active listening to the entirety of Exai as in eleven is, of course, an endurance test, as it is 120 minutes in length and consists of 17 tracks that could be sequenced in any order with no change of effect. Processing the whole thing is less daunting than it seems on the surface. It begins with the hyper-speed scramble-clutter of Fleure, but beneath that, there is a bounty of tracks that are riveting and accessible, if by Autechre's challenging and meticulously crafted standard.
