It seems that Silence hold contracts in partnership with the artists. They do not hold exclusivity. Based on what the label told me (they did not go into name specifics) it is due to Karl Gasleben (aka Ingemar Ljungström during his Anna Själv Tredje days) stopping this reissue. Thus basically an artist not wanting to have his early past on release (the same situation as with the early Kraftwerk albums).

Why isn't this on CD? Isn't Silence Records still around? Yes they are, and they had the sense to reissue Älgarnas Trädgård's Framtiden album. So why not Anna Själv Tredje? I kept hearing how Cosmic Overdose and Twice a Man were a spinoff of Anna Själv Tredje, but really those groups consisted of former Älgarnas Trädgård members (perhaps they were involved in an early version of Anna Själv Tredje which never recorded). This is truly one of the great lost gems of electronic music, a true must have for those who enjoy the Berlin school (except this group was Swedish). The music is right up your alley if you enjoy Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Galactic Explorers, as the music will remind you of such acts, not to mention the keyboard work of Terry Riley ("A Rainbow in Curved Air", for example). The music has this wonderful spacy vibe going on, and proves how there was still room for great electronic music in the late '70s. Your electronic collection isn't complete without it! This is probably one of the finest 1970s albums I have ever heard that never made it on CD!
