Absentist is one of the veterans of the so-called “First Izhevsk electron wave”. Member of the “Males Dront” and “Burunduk Quartet”
For 20 years of silence that has come after the second album of burunduks, which was released on “Snegiry”, Absentist has appeared in several compilations, including “The Best Of Russian Electronica” (kotangens records 2012), but there were no full-length releases.

And in the late fall of 2018, the album Fake Live In A Tiny Room was released. It must be said that this is, if not a step forward, then a step to the side in comparison with the fact that burunduks played in their quartet and with those singles that appeared occasionally on the bandсamp and soundcloud.
